| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá determinanty ovlivňujícími plodnost v České republice. Hlavním cílem práce je ověřit hypotézu, která tvrdí, že zaměstnanost žen pozitivně ovlivňuje plodnost. V teoretické části je chronologicky zachycen vývoj ekonomické teorie. Poté práce analyzuje ekonomické a sociální faktory, které podle ekonomické literatury ovlivňují plodnost. V praktické části jsou vysvětleny proměnné, které vstupují do analýzy. Jedná se o hrubý domácí produkt na osobu, dětskou úmrtnost, vzdělanost žen a zaměstnanost žen. Proměnné jsou následně otestovány pomocí modelu ARDL na časových řadách z let 1991-2019. Na základě výsledků ekonometrického modelu se podařilo potvrdit hypotézu, která tvrdí, že zaměstnanost žen pozitivně ovlivňuje plodnost. Dále se ukázalo, že HDP na osobu má na plodnost pozitivní vliv, zatímco dětská úmrtnost a vzdělání žen plodnost ovlivňují negativně. |

| Abstract: | This work deals with factors affecting fertility in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the work is to verify hypothesis which says that woman employment positively affects fertility rate. In the theoretical part the work chronologically shows the development of economic theories which concern about fertility. Then there is review of socio-economics factors which are told to affects fertility. At the begging of analytical part there is shown development of variables chosen for following analysis. These variables are gross domestic product per capita, infant fertility, education of women and woman employment. In the next part variables are tested by ARDL model on time series from 1991 to 2019. Based on the result of econometric model the hypothesis, which says, that woman employment positively affects fertility rate, was confirmed. It was also shown that gross domestic product per capita positively influences fertility, while infant mortality and female education have negative influence on fertility. |
