| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je výpočet hodnot cenových elasticit poptávky po pitné vodě v jednotlivých regionech České republiky. Tato práce zároveň ověřuje hypotézu neelastické poptávky po vodě, což se podařilo dokázat pomocí panelových dat, z rozmezí let 2005-2018 na roční bázi, na všech zkoumaných regionech. Hodnoty cenových elasticit se v modelech jednotlivých regionů pohybují v rozmezí od -0,97 do -0,28. Modely také ukazují, že spotřeba vody je ovlivněna mnoha faktory, převážně cenou vody, hrubým měsíčním příjmem jedince nebo počtem osob v domácnosti, které jsou v modelech statisticky významnými proměnnými. Těchto podnětů lze využít prostřednictvím behaviorální ekonomie, která do této problematiky stále proniká. Existuje mnoho možností, jak spotřebitele ovlivňovat ve spotřebě, například pomocí informačních kampaní, správného nastavení cen nebo vylepšení struktury účtů za vodu. Lidé také hodně orientují svoji spotřebu na základě srovnávání s lidmi ze svého sousedství. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this bachelor thesis is to calculate the values of price elasticities of drinking water demand in individual regions of the Czech Republic. This work also verifies the hypothesis of inelastic demand for water, which was proved using panel data, from the period 2005-2018 on an annual basis, in all examined regions. The values of price elasticities in the models of individual regions range from -0.97 to -0.28. The models also show that water consumption is influenced by many factors, mainly the price of water, the gross monthly income of an individual or the number of persons in the household, which are statistically significant variables in the models. These impulses can be used through behavioral economics, which is still penetrating this issue. There are many ways how to influence consumers in consumption, for example through information campaigns, setting prices correctly or improving the structure of water bills. People also orient their consumption a lot based on comparisons with people from their neighborhood. |
