Comparative analysis of unemployment in the Czech Republic and Estonia in the years 2005-2018 with a focus on the education of the workforce

| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá analýzou a srovnáním vývoje nezaměstnanosti mezi Českou republikou a Estonskem, s následným zaměřením na vzdělání mezi lety 2005-2018 Teoretická část zahrnuje úvody do teorií nezaměstnaností a lidského kapitálu, dále je zde uveden popis fungování a struktur vzdělávacích systému obou zemí, který přináší prvotní zjištění, že systém vzdělávání České republiky je odlišný od systému vzdělávání Estonska. V závěru teoretické části jsou popsány politiky zaměstnanosti daných zemí, z kterých vyplývá rozdílnost politik zaměstnanosti mezi Českou republikou a Estonskem. V praktické části je provedeno srovnání mezi oběma zeměmi v rámci demografických faktorů, vybraných faktorů ovlivňující trhy práce a dále srovnání vývoje nezaměstnanosti a politik zaměstnanosti ve sledovaném období. Tato srovnání nachází rozdíly mezi Českou republikou a Estonskem, co se týče složení obyvatelstva v rámci pohlaví, úrovně průměrné a minimální mzdy, i dopadů krize na míru nezaměstnanosti. V poslední části zaměřené na dosažené vzdělání je dokázáno, že výše dosaženého vzdělání má vliv na postavení osob na trhu práce. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis provides the analysis and comparison of the development of unemployment between the Czech Republic and Estonia, with a subsequent focus on education between 2005 and 2008. The theoretical part includes introductions to theories of unemployment and human capital, there is also a description of the functioning and structures of the education systems of both countries, which brings the initial finding that the education system of the Czech Republic is different from the education system of Estonia. At the end of the theoretical part, the employment policies of the countries are described, which show the difference between employment policies between the Czech Republic and Estonia. In the practical part, a comparison is made between the two countries within demographic factors, selected factors influencing labor markets and a comparison of the development of unemployment and employment policies in the period under review. These comparisons find differences between the Czech Republic and Estonia in terms of gender composition, average and minimum wage levels, and the effects of the crisis on the unemployment rate. In the last part focused on the achieved education it is proved that the amount of the achieved education influences the position of persons on the labour market. |
