Abstract: | The IT world is constantly evolving, which was considered a new technology yesterday, today can already become outdated and inefficient. If before it was hard to execute new IT initiatives without participation of the System integrator, now with the arrival of new technologies such as cloud and data analytics their place in the IT world can be under the question. The arrival of cloud technologies and data analytics impacted the IT world dramatically. Many companies moved from On-premise solutions to Cloud solutions, implemented different data analytical tools. Significant impact made not only those technologies, but also development of other technologies such as Edge computing, Internet of things Artificial intelligence, Machine learning and others. In my Master’s Thesis I want to understand if there is still a space in the market for system integrators or all the opportunities taken by IT giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, etс. Are the giants able to provide the product that will not need the participation of system integrators to deploy and implement? If that is true, it is possible, that the implementation/deployment of the systems/hardware for individual organizations will be not needed in the near future. On the other hand, there can be other opportunities for growth and development of the business for system integrators in areas for example in consulting, digital transformation expertise and others. Thus, as a result of my Thesis, the current trends, their impact on the System integrator’s business will be analysed, as well as the structure of the business for the current system integrator and the assumed position of the business with the redefined roles will be proposed. |
