| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce hodnotí aktuální trendy v problematice selektivních potratů v Arménii v návaznosti na plnění mezinárodních závazků země vzhledem k Cíli udržitelného rozvoje číslo pět, dosáhnutí genderové rovnosti a posílení postavení všech dívek a žen. Kromě obecného rámce genderové nerovnosti v Arménii a teorii selektivních potratů, se věnuje kvalitativní analýze čtyř současných trendů v dané problematice v této jihokavkazské zemi, které jsou srovnány s celosvětovými obecnými trendy v odvětví, a které také doplňují hloubkové polostrukturované rozhovory s odborníky z praxe. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis evaluates current trends in the field of sex-selective abortion in Armenia in the context of the country's international obligations concerning the Sustainable Development Goal number five, achieving gender equality and empowering all girls and women. In addition to the general framework of gender inequality in Armenia and the theory of selective abortions, it provides a qualitative analysis of four current trends in this South Caucasus country, which are compared with global trends in the field and also complemented by in-depth interviews with experts. |
