Abstract:
The main purpose of the thesis is to assess the current state of the product database management processes using the release of ITIL 4 and DATA-DMBOK2 in the Pet Nutrition Company ABC, as well as to draw up principles for effective management and closing the analysed gaps of the Product Information Management Service. The goal is to identify areas for improving and increasing the value of the service, using ITIL's practices, as well as data management tools, methods and practices from DMBOK2. To identify areas for improvement, as-is state analysis of product database management and data management, as well as interviews of the service stakeholders, were conducted. This will help the company to understand the importance of creating a systematic approach to the service management as a continuous process that will allow the management and control of data within the company. The goal is to identify database management gaps, highlight examples of identified data management gaps and suggestions for eliminating them. The output data of the work is primarily intended for the selected company but can also serve as a model or guide for organizations considering the implementation of the described ITIL 4 and DMBOK2 practices.
