Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with the security situation between the NATO and Russia after 2014 from the perspective of the NATO. In 2014, following Russian annexation of the Crimean Peninsula and its continuing support of Ukrainian separatists, the NATO reconsidered its current posture on Russia and the Alliance began to perceive Russia as a source of threat. The starting point for this work is how the Alliance adapts to this position. It explores not only the Alliance's arguments, but also the material circumstances that the NATO implements to defend its security. The subjects for the analysis are the officially issued supreme NATO statements – Summit Declarations as well as the newly adopted initiatives for increasing its security. The context is based on the existence of a security dilemma and the thesis hence describes the state of the security dilemma from the point of the view of the Alliance. |
