| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problémy financování zdravotní péče v USA. Cílem práce je zjistit příčinu nadměrných nákladů na zdravotní péči, za kterou američtí obyvatelé platí. Za tímto účelem je tato práce zaměřena na nalezení kořenů dnešních problémů v americké zdravotní péči jednak z hlediska jejího financování a také její samotné organizace. První kapitola poskytuje teoretický základ k otázkám zdravotní péče obecně a jak funguje americká zdravotní péče. Druhá kapitola věnuje pozornost existujícím problémům v americkém zdravotnictví, hlavním reformám, účasti obyvatelstva na zdravotním pojištění a vlivu viru Covid-19 na stávající problémy. V poslední kapitole bude provedena diskuse další perspektivy amerického zdravotního systému z pohledu amerických prezidentských voleb z roku 2020. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with healthcare funding problems in the USA. Aim of the thesis is to determine the cause of excessive costs of health care, for which the American population pays. For this purpose, this work focuses on finding the roots of today's problems in American health care, both in terms of its funding and its organization. The first chapter provides a theoretical basis for health care issues in general and how American health care works. The second chapter focuses on the existing problems in American health care, major reforms, public participation in health insurance, and the impact of the Covid-19 virus on existing problems. Final chapter discusses future perspective of American healthcare system with the consideration of presidential elections of 2020. |
