| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce studuje nevládní organizaci Amnesty International a její roli v průběhu občanské války v Jihosúdánské republice zejména metody, které využívá za účelem ochrany lidských práv. První kapitola se zabývá ukotvením lidských práv v závazných mezinárodních normách a následně přechází k vymezení nevládních organizací a jejich činnosti v oblasti ochrany lidských práv. Druhá kapitola se věnuje státu Jižní Súdán, resp. kontextu porušování práv v rámci občanské války a jmenuje právní závazky, které Jižní Súdán během války porušil. Poslední kapitola se prakticky zaměřuje na metody Amnesty International využité v Jižním Súdánu, které směřují na ukončení násilí a ustavení trestní odpovědnosti. |

| Abstract: | This Bachelor thesis study non-governmental organization Amnesty International and her role during the Civil War in the Republic of South Sudan especially the methods used for the purpose of protecting human rights. The first chapter follow up the embedding of human rights into obligatory international norms and then move to the definition of non-governmental organization and their activities in the area of human rights protection. The second chapter pursue the topic of South Sudan and the context of human rights violation within the Civil War. Chapter names legal obligations which South Sudan violated during the war. Last chapter focuses on the Amnesty Internationals’ methods used in practise in South Sudan which aim for the end of violence and establishment of criminal accountability. |
