| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá ověřováním a testováním hypotézy hystereze nezaměstnanosti v jedenácti evropských zemích v období od ledna 2008 do února 2020, tedy v době pokrizové recese a v následné ekonomické konjunktuře. Vybrané státy se vyznačují tím, že jejich míra nezaměstnanosti ke konci sledovaného období poklesla až pod svou předkrizovou úroveň. K testování jsou použity testy jednotkového kořene od základních po panelové, např. ADF, KPSS, IPS, SUR ADF a další. Závěry podporující hysterezní chování nezaměstnanosti jsou nalezené v České republice, Maďarsku, Maltě, Nizozemsku, Polsku, Slovinsku a Slovensku, naopak v Německu platí spíše teorie přirozené míry. Důkazy hystereze v některých zemích v období ekonomické konjunktury, při které míra nezaměstnanost dlouhodobě klesala, svědčí o symetričnosti konceptu hystereze. |

| Abstract: | This master thesis is concerned with verification and testing of hypotheses of hysteresis in unemployment in eleven European countries in period from January 2008 till February 2020, ie during after-crisis recession and the subsequent economic boom. Selected countries are specific with the fact that their unemployment rate at the end of the observed period decreased under the pre-crisis level. The testing is performed by using several unit root tests (from basic ones to panel tests, eg. ADF, KPSS, IPS, SUR ADF test etc.). Results supporting hysteresis in unemployment are found in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, the Neatherlands, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia while the results in Germany correspond rather to Natural Rate Theory. Evidence of hysteresis in some countries in the period of economic boom during which the unemployment rate has been decreasing for a long time testifies to the symmetry of hysteresis concept. |
