The pattern concerning the effect of minimum wage towards the unemployment rate in the Czech Republic confirmed a slightly negative effect on the unemployment rate. Among the other variables affecting the unemployment rate there was included the Kaitz’s index, which affects minimum wage positively and the ratio to the subsistence level, which has a negative effect on the unemployment rate. The pattern analyzing the impact of minimum wage on the unemployment rate in the Moravia-Silesia region showed a slightly negative impact on the unemployment rate. The other factors of the unemployment rate change there was included the Kaitz’s index with a positive impact. The analysis of the impacts of minimum wage on the unemployment rate in the Central Bohemian region did not show a significant impact on the unemployment rate. The last pattern that was examined concerned an impact of minimum wage on the unemployment rate in the Ústí region, but no significant positive impact on the unemployment rate was showed. |
