| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce řeší současné postavení kryptoměn a jejich naplnění funkcí klasického peněžního systému či charakteristik vybraných ekonomických škol. Cílem práce bylo odpovědět na otázku, zda je pravděpodobné, že by kryptoměny mohly nahradit, případně alespoň konkurovat peněžnímu systému v podobě, jak jej známe dnes. Na základě analýzy a literární rešerše provedené v praktické části vyplývá, že v dohledné době a v současné podobě rozhodně ne. Mezi důvody, které tomu brání, patří v současné době především vysoká volatilita kryptoměnového trhu a poměrně malá uživatelská síť. Práce podrobněji rozebírá tyto faktory a poskytuje tak čtenáři komplexní odpověď na stanovenou otázku. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis examines the current state of cryptocurrency and its function as an alternative to a classical financial system in accordance with different economic schools. The aim of this paper was to explore whether cryptocurrency could replace or at least compete with the current financial system as we know it. Based on reviewed literature and the analysis conducted in the practical part of this paper, neither replacement nor competition is likely to happen in the foreseeable future. The main reasons preventing the latter from happening were identified as high volatility of the cryptocurrency market and a relatively small user network. This paper further explains identified factors and offers a complex answer to the selected thesis. |
