| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je navrhnout zlepšení vybraného procesu manipulace a zpracování informačních zdrojů v knihovně Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze. První část se zabývá teoretickým vysvětlením přístupu ke zlepšování na základě Lean managementu. Následuje rešerše publikací a článků, které se specificky zabývaly uplatněním Lean v knihovnách. Praktická část práce se věnuje procesu zpracování nové publikace před jejím zařazením do knihovny, který je zkoumán pomocí metody DMAIC. V rámci čtvrté fáze tohoto nástroje byly stanoveny konkrétní návrhy pro zlepšení procesu na základě uplatnění principů Lean managementu. Výsledkem těchto opatření by mělo být předpokládané zkrácení doby trvání procesu, tzv. Lead time, minimálně o 7% při současném zlepšení bezchybnosti zpracování. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this master’s thesis is to propose an improvement of the selected process of manipulation and processing of information resources in VŠE Library. The first section is dedicated to theoretical explanation of improvement based on Lean Management principles. What follows is a review of specific sources about Lean in libraries. The application part of the thesis is dedicated to the process of manipulation and processing of new information resources before placing them in the library that is analysed by DMAIC methodology. According to this methodology, specific improvement proposals are presented using Lean Management principles. The impact of these measures indicates expected shortening in Lead Time by at least 7% with increasing errorless rate at the same time. |
