| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá transformací čínské zahraniční politiky ve 21. století v kontextu jejího mocenského vzestupu a s tím spojeného nárůstu asertivity Číny v mezinárodních vztazích. Práce zkoumá, do jaké míry Čína promítá svou asertivitu do geograficky vzdálených oblastí, jako je Blízký východ, a to na příkladu Íránu. Pomocí analýzy cílů a prostředků čínské zahraniční politiky v Íránu v období čtvrté a páté generace čínských lídrů se pokouší odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku, zda se zahraniční politika Číny vůči Íránu pod vedením Si Ťin-pchinga stala více asertivní. Provedená analýza také znázorňuje limitující faktory, jež mají zásadní vliv na způsoby, jakými Čína prosazuje své zájmy v regionu. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the transformation of China’s foreign policy in the 21st century in the context of its rise to power and the resulting growth of China’s assertiveness in international relations. The thesis investigates, to which degree China translates its assertiveness to geographically remote regions such as the Middle East, taking Iran as an example. By analyzing the objectives and instruments of China’s Iran policy during the fourth and fifth generation of Chinese leaders it seeks to answer the research question of whether China’s foreign policy towards Iran has become more assertive under Xi Jinping. The analysis also reflects some crucial factors influencing the methods which China resorts to while defending its interests in the region. |
