| Abstract: | Podstata práce představuje kritický pohled na problematiku diverzity na pracovišti. V teoretické části jsou obecně probrány historické předpoklady, které vedly k vytvoření konceptu Diversity Management. Následuje definice, co je diverzita, a dále jsou probrány hlavní přínosy i výzvy diverzity na pracovišti. A to jak obecně, tak i u jejích konkrétnějších druhů. Teoretické poznatky jsou doplněny praktickým příkladem ze společnosti Deloitte. V praktické části byly ověřeny teoretické výstupy na příkladě jednoho pracovního týmu v nadnárodní společnosti. Součástí praktické části je stanovení limitů provedeného výzkumu i konceptu Diversity Management jako takového. |

| Abstract: | The core idea of the thesis is a critical view on the diversity in the workplace issue. In the theoretical part, there is a skin-deep discussion of the historical assumptions, which led to the creation of the Diversity Management concept. Then, what is diversity is defined, and after that the main benefits and challenges of diversity in the workplace are discussed, both in general and for specific kinds of diversity. Theoretical knowledge is supplemented by practical examples from Deloitte company. In the practical part, the outputs of the theory were verified based on an example of a work team in a multinational company. This part also contains the determination of limitations of the conducted research as well as of the Diversity Management topic as such. |
