| Abstract: | Vysoká nezaměstnanost mladých lidí se stala zásadním problémem, se kterým se v současnosti potýká mnoho evropských zemí. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je hodnocení nezaměstnanosti mladých osob v České republice, Dánsku a Itálii zasazené do kontextu Evropské unie v letech 2007–2019 a odhalení příčin jejich odlišného vývoje. S využitím statistických dat byla provedena analýza nezaměstnanosti mladých lidí ve vybraných státech z hlediska věku, pohlaví, délky trvání či dosaženého vzdělání. Ukazuje se, že vývoj ekonomiky silně ovlivňuje postavení mladých lidí na trhu práce. V období světové ekonomické krize dosáhnul poměr mezi mírou nezaměstnanosti mladých lidí a dospělých v Itálii i Dánsku nejvyšších hodnot. Jeho zvýšení nastalo i v České republice, což poukazuje na růst relativního znevýhodnění mladých lidí během recese. Na základě analýzy bylo dále zjištěno, že kromě makroekonomických podmínek hraje v otázce pracovního uplatnění mladých osob podstatnou roli také vzdělávací systém a jeho provázanost s potřebami trhu práce. |

| Abstract: | High youth unemployment has become a major concern for many European countries. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to assess youth unemployment in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Italy in the context of the European Union during years 2007–2019 and to find out its key causes. An analysis of youth unemployment in the selected countries by age, sex, duration and educational attainment level was carried out using statistical data. It turns out that economic growth significantly influences young people's position in the labour market. In times of global economic crisis, the ratio of youth to adult unemployment rate reached its highest levels in Italy and Denmark. At the same time, this ratio was rising in the Czech Republic as well, which indicates an increase in the relative disadvantage of youth during the recession. Based on the analysis it was further found that in addition to macroeconomic conditions, education systems and the linkage between education and labour market needs also play an important role when it comes to youth unemployment. |
