| Abstract: | Diplomová práce si kladla za cíl osvětlit, jakým způsobem se zachovaly filmové festivaly v roce 2020 mezi měsíci lednem až listopadem, kdy se v České republice šířil COVID-19. První teoretická část vymezuje konceptuální rámec krize a krizového managementu, zabývá se i vlivem krize na kulturní sektor. Jedna z kapitol je věnovaná obecnému popisu filmových festivalů a jejich role ve společnosti. Praktická část je zaměřena na kvalitativní výzkum postavený na analýze polostrukturovaných hloubkových rozhovorů. Rozhovory byly vedené s deseti zástupci filmových festivalů. Z analýzy vyplynulo, že filmové festivaly staví na loajální struktuře organizačního týmu a neměly, díky zkušenostem z minulosti, problém se na dané situace adaptovat. Problémy jim způsoboval nedostatečný odhad při tvorbě krizových scénářů, které byly příliš optimistické vzhledem k vývoji situace. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis aimed to show how film festivals reacted to the situation between January and November in 2020 when COVID-19 spread in the Czech Republic. The first theoretical part defines the conceptual framework of crisis and crisis management, deals with the impact of the crisis on the cultural sector. One of the chapters is devoted to a general description of film festivals and their role in society. The practical part is focused on qualitative research based on the analysis of semi-structured in-depth interviews. The interviews were conducted with ten representatives of film festivals. The analysis showed that film festivals lean on the loyal structure of their organizational team, and thanks to their past experience, they had no problem adapting to the given situations. Problems, however, resulted from them underestimating the development of the situation when creating their crisis scenarios which were too optimistic under the given state of affairs |
