The analysis of selected factors of labor productivity and production during the period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia

The thesis deals with the analysis of the impact of the war economy on the market and labor productivity during the period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Structure and amount of production of the war period against the background of the exploitation of Czech industry by Nazi Germany is also examined. The theoretical part summarizes the main economic-political aspects of the First Republic with a focus on the labor market and industry. The next part of the thesis is focused on the economic and territorial losses that were caused by the Munich Agreement and the establishment of the Second Republic. The aim of this part is presents basic of economic moments of the state before the proclamation of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The practical part first analyzes property transfers, Germanization and Aryanization. However, the key part is the labor market and the analysis of selected factors of labor productivity together with the forced deployment of protectorate labor in the Empire. All data obtained are further implied for the amount and structure of war production. Despite the fact that industrial production increased during the occupation, labor productivity decreased. The thesis managed to confirm, that the transition to a war economy caused changes in the structure and amount of protectorate production and caused a decline in labor productivity.
