| Abstract: | Cílem práce je komparovat vývoj životní úrovně v zemích Visegrádské čtyřky mezi lety 2000 a 2019 na základě vybraných ukazatelů a ověřit pravdivost hypotézy, že Česká republika si po celé sledované období udržovala pozici nejúspěšněji transformované ekonomiky a dosahuje obecně nejvyšší míry životní úrovně. V teoretické části autor definuje pojem životní úroveň a následně charakterizuje jednotlivé vybrané ukazatele, kterými jsou HDP na obyvatele, index lidského rozvoje, střední délka života, kojenecká úmrtnost, inflace, míra nezaměstnanosti, možnost a dostupnost vzdělání, přístup k městskému vodovodu, počet olympijských medailí na obyvatele a počet průměrných měsíčních mezd k nákupu automobilu Škoda Octavia. Vysvětluje také teorii konvergence a hospodářský cyklus. V praktické části popisuje vznik a vývoj jednotlivých členských států Visegrádské čtyřky i skupiny jako celku. Následně analyzuje a komparuje vývoj zemí dle zvolených ukazatelů. Hypotézu se na základě dostupných dat podařilo verifikovat, neboť Česká republika skutečně po celé období dosahovala nejvyšší životní úrovně ze zemí V4. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to compare the development of standard of living in the Visegrad group countries between 2000 and 2019 on the basis of selected indicators and verify the truth of the hypothesis that the Czech Republic maintained its position as the most successfully transformed economy and generally achieves the highest standard of living. In the theoretical part, the author defines the concept of standard of living and then characterizes selected indicators, which are GDP per capita, human development index, life expectancy, infant mortality, inflation, unemployment rate, access to and availability of education, access to urban water supply, number of Olympic medals per capita and the number of average monthly wages for the purchase of a Škoda Octavia. It also explains the theory of convergence and the business cycle. In the practical part describes the origin and development of individual member states of the Visegrad Four and the group as a whole. It then analyses and compares the development of countries according to selected indicators. The hypothesis was verified on the basis of available data, as the Czech Republic actually achieved the highest standard of living in the V4 countries throughout the period. |
