| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se primárně zabývá dopady významných živelních událostí na české pojišťovnictví. V první části jsou podrobně charakterizovány vybrané typy živelních událostí, které Českou Republiku v posledních 25 letech nejzásadněji poznamenaly a které se nejvíce promítly do vývoje českého pojišťovnictví. Druhá část začíná shrnutím historie pojistné ochrany proti živlům, včetně samotného vzniku a počátečního vývoje, a pokračuje rozborem dopadů konkrétních živelních pohrom na české pojišťovnictví. Cílem této části je především identifikovat změny, ke kterým došlo na pojistném a zajistném trhu v reakci na tyto významné události. V poslední části je analyzována současná situace na trhu a aktuální přístup pojistitelů ke krytí živelních rizik. Tento přístup je dále ilustrován na příkladu pojištění budov od čtyř pojišťoven, které na pojistném trhu v České Republice momentálně působí. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis primarily deals with the impacts of significant natural disasters on the Czech insurance industry. The first part describes in detail selected types of natural disasters that have marked the Czech Republic in the last 25 years the most and which have been reflected in the development of the Czech insurance industry the most. The second part begins with a summary of the history of insurance protection against the elements, including the very origin and initial development, and continues with an analysis of the impacts of specific natural disasters on the Czech insurance industry. The aim of this section is primarily to identify changes that have occurred in the insurance and reinsurance market in response to these significant events. The last part analyzes the current market situation and the current approach of insurers to cover natural hazards. This approach is further illustrated by the example of building insurance from four insurance companies currently operating on the insurance market in the Czech Republic. |
