Abstract:
The goal of the thesis is to analyse how difference in culture influences the identity of countries and their aspirations and goals in the international community. At the same time, the goal is also to analyse how this difference in culture impacts the way states interact with one another. After a theoretical analysis of communication process and culture, the thesis presents different cultural models that identify cultural traits of countries and societies. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the culture of China, the United States and the Arab countries (with a specific case study of Saudi Arabia); and the analysis of how these different cultural traits impacts their behavior in the international community.
