| Abstract: | Diplomová práce je zaměřena na téma procesního přístupu v organizacích, řízení procesů a procesního reengineeringu. Autor diplomové práce nejprve v rešerši literatury kriticky hodnotí zvolené téma porovnáním hlavních názorových proudů v oblasti procesního přístupu, řízení a zlepšování procesů. Zjištěné skutečnosti dále aplikuje v rámci realizovaného výzkumu. Tímto výzkumem je případová studie. Předmětem případové studie je proces zkušební laboratoře zajišťující tok vzorků touto laboratoří. Autor proces nejprve zkoumá prostřednictvím modelovacího nástroje BPMN, definuje vhodné klíčové ukazatele pro měření výkonnosti tohoto procesu (KPI) a tyto KPI počítá na základě dat sesbíraných o zkoumaném procesu. V další fázi výzkumu realizuje změny procesu za účelem pozitivního ovlivnění KPI, znovu měří definovaná KPI a hodnotí míru jejich ovlivnění realizovanými změnami. |

| Abstract: | The thesis is focused on process approach in organizations, process management and process reengineering. Initially, author of the thesis critically evaluates chosen topic by comparing mainstream opinions in process approach, process management and process improvement. Information gained by this comparison is further applied in research hereinafter performed. This research consists of case study whose subject is process of testing laboratory. The main purpose of this process is to manage flow of samples through this laboratory. At the beginning of the research, the author explores the process by Business Process Modelling Notation. The author further defines suitable key performance indicators (KPIs) that are used to measure process performance afterwards. These KPIs are calculated from data collected about the process under research. In the next part of the research, changes of the process are performed in order to positively influence the KPIs. These KPIs are measured again after the changes were applied and effect of these changes on KPIs is evaluated. |
