| Abstract: | Cílem práce je (na příkladu Prahy, resp. Prahy 7) zkoumat možnosti tvorby veřejného prostoru města tak, aby se v něm cítily ženy dobře. Práce vychází nejen z teorie města či veřejného prostoru, ale také z teorií feminismu či gender mainstreamingu. Výzkum je založen jak na pozorování aktuální situace, tak na analýze názorů a přesvědčení aktérek (architektek, političek či aktivistek), které svou činností veřejný prostor města přímo ovlivňují. Práce usiluje o využitelnost v prostorovém plánování měst a vymezení kroků, které jsou potřebné k dosažení vyšší kvality městského plánování a kvality života všech obyvatel města, bez ohledu na jejich gender. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is (on the example of Prague, particularly Prague 7) to explore the possibilities of creating a public space of the city so that women feel good and safe in it. The thesis is based on the theory of the city and public space as well as on theories of feminism and gender mainstreaming. The research is based on both observation of the current situation and the analysis of the opinions and beliefs of the professionals (architects, politicians, or activists) who directly influence the public space of the city. The main benefit of the thesis is its usability in the urban spatial planning and to define the steps that are available to a higher quality urban planning and quality of life of all city residents, regardless of their gender. |
