The role of the WHO in connection with the medical crisis

The bachelor thesis deals with the role of the World health organization during the medical crisis. Moreover, it shows the most significant approaches which were selected and were either appreciative or controversial. The main goal of this work is to clarify in detail the imagination about the WHO functions because the whole issue is more and more actual especially thank to Coronavirus pandemic. The work is firstly based on the theoretical part where is emphasized the WHO establishment, its financing, the principles of the functioning and the general legislation. Consequently, the next chapter sums up the controversies that are connected with the WHO. In the analytical part there are emphasized positive and negative reactions of the WHO in connection with the influenza H1N1, Ebola and coronavirus pandemic. In the last chapter there are all the inconsistent approaches summarized. The result of the whole work is finding of the WHO role during the medical crisis. However, it selected many times mistaken approaches that is sometimes necessary to be solved via the international legislative level. The reason is that there has been couple of problems that were caused also by the relatively small competence of the WHO and the dependency of the organization on the voluntary financial contributions from the member states and the private companies.
