Web platform for managing development projects implemented by independent developers or small teams

This diploma thesis is devoted to the implementation of a web application to manage projects carried out by separate developers or small teams. The main objective of the work is the design and implement a web application for project management, which is based on an analysis of already selected existing systems and complements or improves their shortcomings in terms of functionality and user experience. It also includes a description of time management areas and relevant project management. The application design includes a description of the technologies, which were used to develop the application and a description of the target users for which the application is being developed. Besides a list of functional and non-functional requirements, which are described by use case diagrams and a UML diagram for database scheme, there are also described relations between the data entities in the application. The next part is a user interface design using wireframes and their description followed by images of designs. Another part of the diploma thesis is a description of the implementation of important elements and the functionality of the web application. Last but not least, the application created was compared to already existing applications, which were described in detail in this work. To conclude this work, the web application developed was tested by prepared test scenarios and by a group of selected testers. The test results were processed for subsequent improvements to the application. The developed application has features for project management, tasks, reports, time tracking and following invoicing, including a integration to one of the most used invoicing systems in the Czech Republic – Fakturoid. And all in one user-fiendly web application.
