| Abstract: | Kvůli pozastavené multilaterální liberalizaci Evropská unie více spoléhá na uzavírání tzv. regionálních obchodních dohod, a to zejména na ty v komplexní podobě. Jednou z takových dohod je i Dohoda o ekonomickém partnerství mezi EU a Japonskem, která v době svého uzavření založila největší zónu volného obchodu na světě. Cílem mé práce je ověřit, zda po zavedení této dohody zaznamenaly české sklářské podniky v sektoru užitkového skla nárůst exportu či jiné efekty ve vztahu k Japonsku od její implementace do konce roku 2020. První kapitola definuje regionalismus, stanovuje jeho postavení vůči multilateralismu a charakterizuje aktuální fázi a její dopady na mezinárodní obchod. Kapitola druhá představuje nové nastavení obchodu mezi EU a Japonskem a následně toto nastavení reflektuje ve vývoji česko-japonského obchodu. Poslední kapitola se zaměřuje na sektor (užitkového) skla a na základě datové analýzy hodnotí změny v jeho obchodě; samotnou analýzu dále rozšiřuje o vlastní kvalitativní výzkum. |

| Abstract: | Due to the stalled multilateral liberalization, European Union has been actively utilising regional trade agreements, mainly in the form of complex agreements. EU-Japan economic partnership agreement is a great example of such efforts as it established the largest free-trade zone at the time of its ratification. The aim of this paper is to verify whether Czech glassmaking companies experienced a growth in their exports or other effects related to Japan as their trading partner in the period of the agreement’s implementation to the end of 2020. The first chapter defines regionalism, its relation to multilateralism and the current phase with its effects on international trade. The second chapter introduces the new trade conditions between EU and Japan which are then taken into account and reflected in the trade of the Czech republic and Japan. The last chapter focuses on the glass sector (specifically on the utility glass) and it assesses its trade development based on a data analysis and a qualitative research. |
