| Abstract: | Příchod arabského jara byl s nadějí pozorován jako příchod demokratizační vlny. V průběhu revolucí stanuly po boku mužů ženy, které se bily za ukončení autoritářských režimů s vírou, že si svou aktivitou zajistí slovo při budování nového systému a vydobyjí si tak lepší podmínky. Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vliv arabského jara na ženská práva v konkrétních příkladech Tuniska a Egypta. Teoretická část této práce popisuje propojení demokracie a lidských práv skrze jednotlivé oficiální dokumenty vydané mezinárodními organizacemi. Dále je rozebrána role islámu v arabském světě a jeho vliv na ženská práva v dané oblasti. Následnou komparací situace ženských práv před a po arabském jaru v Egyptě a Tunisku jsou čtenáři představeny změny, ke kterým v jednotlivých obdobích došlo. Studie se zaměřuje především na práva žen v oblasti vzdělání, pracovních příležitostí a jejich postavení v politickém životě a v rodinných vztazích. Výsledky komparace jsou následně použity k vyhodnocení vlivu arabského jara v oblasti ženských práv. |

| Abstract: | The arrival of the Arab Spring was perceived as a wave of democratization. During the Arab revolutions, women fought in the streets alongside with men for the end of authoritarian regimes. Women believed that their proactivity would ensure them a place during the making of a new regime which would give them an opportunity to improve their rights. This bachelor thesis examines the impact of the Arab Spring on women's rights in specific examples of Tunisia and Egypt. The theoretical part of the study deals with the connection between democracy and human rights through individual official documents issued by international organizations. Furthermore, the role of Islam in the Arab world and its influence on women's rights in the area is discussed. The comparison of the situation before and after the Arab Spring in Egypt and Tunisia shows the changes that have taken place in each country during this revolutionary period. The results of the comparison are used to evaluate the impact of the Arab Spring on women's rights. |
