The principle of unity of statehood in the politics of the People's Republic of China. Comparative case study

| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na tři aktuální problematiky v rámci politiky Čínské lidové republiky (ČLR), které jsou zároveň středem pozornosti mezinárodních subjektů. Tyto problematiky jsou územně vymezené dnešní oblastí Taiwanu, Hongkongu a Sin-ťiangu. Hlavním cílem práce je komparace postupu a nástrojů ČLR při prosazování principu státnosti ve zvolených případech. Zvolenou metodou pro naplnění cíle je komparativní případová studie. Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. První je zaměřena na vývoj a charakter jednoty státnosti ČLR, jenž je pro hlubší porozumění kontextu jednotlivých případů zásadní. Ve druhé, třetí a čtvrté kapitole je rozebrána povaha jednotlivých případů. Nejdříve je představen historický kontext a následně současný vývoj, a tedy i popis konfliktu s Čínskou lidovou republikou, včetně okolností jeho vzniku. V páté kapitole jsou tři případy komparovány pomocí dvou určených kritérií. Tím prvním jsou nástroje, jimiž ČLR prosazuje ve třech oblastech svůj postoj. Druhým je pak motivace ČLR v jednotlivých případech. Po provedení komparace byla zjištěna korelace mezi mírou autonomie jednotlivých oblastí a nástroji, které jsou ze strany ČLR využívány. Došlo také k zaznamenání podstaty náboženských, etnických a ekonomických faktorů v jednotlivých případech. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis is focused on three current issues in the policy of the People´s Republic of China (PRC), that also get the attention of international actors. These issues are territorially defined by today´s areas of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Xinjiang. The main goal of this work is to compare the procedure and tools of the PRC in promoting the principle of statehood in selected cases. The chosen method for fulfilling the goal is a comparative case study. The work is divided into five chapters. The first focuses on the development and nature of the unity of statehood in the PRC, which is essential for a deeper understanding of the context of individual cases. The second, third and fourth chapters describe the nature of individual cases. First, the historical context and then the current development are presented, and thus a description of the conflict with the PRC, including the circumstances of its origin. In the fifth chapter, the three cases are compared using two specified criteria. The first is the instruments with which the PRC asserts its position in three areas. The second is the motivation of the PRC in individual cases. After making a comparison, a correlation was found between the degree of autonomy of individual areas and the tools used by the PRC. The nature of religious, ethnic and economic factors in individual cases was also noticed. |
