| Abstract: | Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá integrací Gruzie, Moldavska a Ukrajiny do Evropské unie a jejím vlivem na konkurenceschopnost vybraných zemí. Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat dopad evropských integračních procesů na konkurenceschopnost vybraných zemí, vedlejší cílem pak zanalyzovat dosavadní průběh integrace a navrhnout možné budoucí směřování. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol, přičemž první se zabývá teoretickým pohledem na regionální integraci, konkurenceschopnost a jejich vzájemný vztah, druhá se věnuje politickému a ekonomickému vývoji ve vybraných zemí a průběhu jejich integrace do EU a třetí kapitola obsahuje analýzu dopadu integrace na konkurenceschopnost zkoumaných zemí a komparaci se zeměmi střední a východní Evropy a Západního Balkánu. Protože odborná literatura v oblasti rozšiřování EU se zabývá především zeměmi střední a východní Evropy a Západního Balkánu, spočívá hlavní přínos této práce v prohloubení tématiky rozšíření EU o vybranou skupinu států. |

| Abstract: | This Master’s thesis focuses on the integration of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine into the European Union and its impact on the competitiveness of selected countries. The main goal of this work is to analyze the impact of European integration processes on the competitiveness of selected countries, the secondary goal is to analyze the current course of integration and suggest possible future directions. The thesis is divided into three chapters, the first is focused on theoretical view of regional integration, competitiveness and relationship between them, the second chapter is dedicated to political and economic developments in selected countries and their integration into the EU and the last chapter contains an analysis of the impact of integration on the competitiveness of the selected countries and a comparison with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans. As the literature on EU enlargement deals mainly with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans, the main contribution of this work lies in deepening the topic of EU enlargement by selected group of countries. |
