| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá komparací evropských neutrálních zemí Finska, Švédska a Švýcarska, a jejich bojem proti terorismu. Státy byly vybrány záměrně, jelikož každý z nich má jinou zkušenost s neutralitou, což by mohlo mít také vliv na jejich boj proti terorismu. Srovnání probíhá na základě dvou vytyčených přístupů – strategie války proti terorismu a strategie boje proti terorismu, v období od teroristických útoků 11. září 2001 do současnosti. Cílem práce je komparace zvolených států v oblasti boje proti terorismu z hlediska jejich aktivity. Výsledkem je pak zodpovězení třech výzkumných otázek: 1) Který ze států – Finsko, Švédsko či Švýcarsko – je nejvíce a nejméně aktivní v rámci boje proti terorismu?; 2) Jak se zvolené státy podílí na boji proti terorismu?; 3) Souvisí míra jejich aktivity s jejich neutralitou, eventuálně jak? Práce je zpracována jako komparativní studie a je rozčleněna do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá bojem proti terorismu, druhá kapitola teoreticky vymezuje pojem neutralita a její současnou roli v mezinárodních vtazích, třetí kapitola se zabývá charakterizování neutrality států komparace. Poslední kapitola se věnuje jednotlivým státům a jejich boji proti terorismu. Bylo zjištěno, že stát, který má neutralitu kodifikovanou a zmiňuje ji ve své zahraniční strategii, je méně aktivní než stát, který neutralitu kodifikovanou nemá a ani ji explicitně nezmiňuje ve své zahraniční strategii. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis compares European neutral states, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland, and their activity in counterterrorism. The states were chosen intentionally, as each has a completely different experience with neutrality, which could affect their counterterrorism. The comparison is based on two approaches to counterterrorism – the war on terror and the strategy of combating terrorism. The time interval begins with the 9/11 terrorist attacks and continues to the present. The thesis aims to compare the selected states in the field of counterterrorism in terms of their activity. The text answers these research questions: 1) Which of the countries – Finland, Sweden or Switzerland – is the most and least active in counterterrorism 2) How do the elected states participate in the fight against terrorism?; 3) Is the degree of their activity related to their neutrality, and how? The thesis is a comparative study and is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with counterterrorism, the second chapter theoretically defines the concept of neutrality and its current role in international relations, the third chapter is about the characterization of neutrality of selected states. The last chapter deals with individual states and their counterterrorism. The thesis concluded that a state which has codified neutrality and mentions it in its foreign strategy is less active than a state which does not have codified neutrality and does not explicitly mention it in its foreign strategy. |
