| Abstract: | The aim of this study is to determine what barriers and enablers women face in reaching top management positions in the construction industry in Honduras. The thesis is based on qualitative research in a specific construction company. The findings of the study show that women face many challenges and few enablers on their path to top management. The results came from a variety of perspectives inside the company. Women do not feel secure in a male-dominated industry because they do not receive enough encouragement from superiors or male colleagues. This is where businesses and male colleagues or subordinates may help these women achieve their goals. |

| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jakým překážkám čelí a jaké podpůrné body pomáhají ženám při dosažení nejvyšších řídících pozic ve stavebním průmyslu v Hondurasu. Práce se opírá o kvalitativní výzkum v konkrétní společnosti. Zjištění studie ukazují, že ženy čelí mnoha výzvám, ale mají k dispozici pouze několik podpůrných bodů na jejich cestě k nejvyššímu managementu. Výsledky vycházely z různých pohledů uvnitř společnosti. Ženy se necítí bezpečně v odvětví dominovaném muži, protože nedostávají dostatečné prostor od nadřízených nebo mužských kolegů. Toto je oblast, kde podniky a mužští kolegové nebo podřízení mohou těmto ženám pomoci dosáhnout jejich cílů. |
