| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá jednou z nejvýraznějších demografických změn od devadesátých let minulého století – odkladem narození prvního dítěte v České republice. S touto problematikou je úzce spojen pojem demografická tranzice, která ovlivnila nejen úroveň plodnosti a průměrný věk matek při narození prvního dítěte, ale také umožnila nový pohled na rodinný život a způsoby partnerského soužití. Plodnost je v práci zkoumaná pomocí dvou pohledů – transverzálního a longitudinálního. Cílem diplomové práce je nalézt a vyhodnotit hodnotové i ekonomické důvody odkladu narození prvního dítěte do vyššího věku. Na základě dotazníkového šetření Odkládání rodiny do pozdějšího věku a článků zabývající se touto problematikou byly zkoumány příčiny způsobující odklad rodičovství. Pomocí faktorové analýzy byl výsledný počet možných důvodů odkladu redukován a následně interpretován. Závěrem jsou shrnuty všechny nalezené příčiny, proč lidé odkládají rodinu do vyššího věku. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis addresses one of the most significant demographic changes since the 1990s: the postponement of the birth of the first child in the Czech Republic. This issue is closely related to the term of demographic transition that has not only influenced the level of fertility and the average age of mothers at the birth of their first child, but it has also opened up a new insight into family life and ways of cohabitation. The work examines fertility from two points of view: transversal and longitudinal. The objective of the thesis is to find and evaluate both economic and value-based reasons for postponing the birth of the first child to an older age. The causes of the postponement of parenthood were examined using a questionnaire survey, Postponement of Parenthood to an Older Age, and articles dealing with the issue. The resulting number of potential reasons for postponement was reduced and interpreted with the use of a factor analysis. The conclusion summarises all the found causes of postponement of parenthood to an older age. |
