| Abstract: | Z demografických prognóz o vývoji struktury obyvatel České republiky je zřejmé, že dochází ke stárnutí populace, což má za následek zvyšování počtu seniorů. Ačkoli je stárnutí populace velmi aktuální a často řešené téma, obvykle se však z diskusí vytrácí otázka spotřebních nároků, která ke stárnutí populace neodmyslitelně patří. Vzhledem k tomu, že starší lidé mají odlišnou strukturu spotřeby, než je tomu u mladší populace a zároveň spotřební nároky mají dopad i na životní úroveň, je nezbytné se zabývat spotřebními nároky u stárnoucí populace a otázkou, zda vůbec s rostoucím počtem seniorů bude možné tyto nároky uspokojit. Tato diplomová práce se proto zabývá stárnutím populace a dopady tohoto procesu na spotřební nároky v České republice. Nejprve jsou v práci definovány termíny, které s touto problematikou souvisí, a je zde také popsána metodika Statistiky rodinných účtů v České republice, která je pro zkoumání struktury spotřeby domácností klíčovým zdrojem dat. Dále je v práci analyzováno spotřební chování seniorů v České republice, a to prostřednictvím srovnání struktury spotřebních výdajů domácností důchodců se strukturou spotřebních výdajů domácností pracujících osob. Také je zde detailněji rozebrán vývoj struktury spotřebních výdajů domácností důchodců, resp. mezinárodní srovnání spotřebního chování seniorů ve vybraných státech Evropy. Na závěr je provedena předpověď dalšího vývoje struktury domácností v České republice a následně také odhad budoucího vývoje spotřebních výdajů se zaměřením na domácnosti důchodců a domácnosti pracujících osob. Získané výsledky jsou následně interpretovány a jsou zde také uvedena možná opatření, která by mohla pomoci zabránit poklesu kvality života seniorů v důsledku možného nedostatečného uspokojení jejich spotřebních nároků. |

| Abstract: | From demographic forecasts on the development of the structure of the population of the Czech Republic, it is clear that the population is aging, which results in an increase in the number of elderly people. Although the aging of the population is a very up-to-date topic and often discussed issue, the issue of the consumption demands, which is an integral part of the aging of the population, often disappears from the discussions. Given that older people have a different consumption patterns than the younger population and that consumption demands also have an impact on living standards, it is necessary to deal with the consumption demands of an aging population and the question if it will be possible with an increasing number of elderly people to meet their requirements. Therefore, this diploma thesis deal with the aging of the population and the effects of this process on consumption demands in the Czech Republic. First, the work defines the terms related to this issue and describes the methodology of Household Budget Survey in the Czech Republic, which is a key source of getting relevant data for examining the structure of household consumption. Furthermore, the work analyses the consumer behaviour of elderly people in the Czech Republic, by comparing the structure of consumer expenditure of retired households with the structure of consumer expenditure of households of working persons. It is also discussed by giving more details the development of the structure of consumer spending of retired households in an international comparison of the consumer behaviour of elderly people in selected European countries. Finally, an estimate of the further development of the structure of households in the Czech Republic is made, followed by an estimate of the future development of consumption expenditures, focusing on retired households and households of working persons. The obtained results are subsequently interpreted and there are also possible measures that could help prevent a decline in the quality of life of seniors due to possible insufficient satisfaction of their consumption demands. |
