| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou nezaměstnanosti v zemích EU. Nezaměstnanost, která patří mezi hlavní makroekonomické ukazatele, představuje pro mnoho lidí, ale také pro ekonomiku jako celek, skutečný problém. Práce zkoumá vývoj nezaměstnanosti z různých pohledů, jako je dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost, nezaměstnanost podle pohlaví, nezaměstnanost podle vzdělání a nezaměstnanost mladých, za pomocí grafů a popisných statistik časových řad. Pozornost je také věnována vlivu finanční krize z roku 2008 na nezaměstnanost v EU, ten je zkoumán za pomocí histogramů znázorňujících situaci v období před a po krizi. Dále bylo v práci zkoumáno, zda se nezaměstnanost liší v závislosti na geografické poloze, a to s využitím Kruskal-Wallisova testu. Vzhledem k současné situaci je v práci přiložena také kapitola zkoumající vývoj nezaměstnanosti od propuknutí pandemie COVID-19. Data pro tuto bakalářskou práci byla získána převážně z databáze Eurostatu, některé doplňující informace pak z Českého statistického úřadu. Následně byla zpracována v programech MS Excel a Statgraphics. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of unemployment in the EU. Unemployment, which belongs to the main macroeconomics indicators, represents problem not only for many people, but also for whole economies. The thesis examines development of unemployment from different points of view, such as long-term unemployment, unemployment by gender, unemployment by educational attainment and youth unemployment, by using graphs and descriptive statistics of time series. Attention is also paid to the impact of financial crisis from 2008 to the unemployment in the EU, the impact is examined using histograms representing the situation before and after crisis. It was also tested, using the Kruskal-Wallis test, whether the unemployment rate differs in dependence on geographical location. Given the current situation, there is a chapter, which deals with the development of unemployment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data was gathered mainly from the database of Eurostat, rest of the data for some additional information was gathered from Czech Statistical Office. The data was then processed in MS Excel and Statgraphics. |
