| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této práci je analýza informačního a tržního prostředí státní akciové železniční společnosti „Rossijskije železnyje dorogi“ (RŽD) a návrh konkrétních BI řešení s ohledem na strategické cíle společnosti a její problémy. Pro naplnění stanoveného cíle jsem použil veřejně dostupné zdroje informací o společnosti a o dopravním trhu Ruské federace. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části se čtenář může dozvědět o situaci na dopravním trhu Ruska, o jeho charakteristice a jeho problematice. Dále obsahuje analýzu společnosti RŽD, konkrétně její struktury, ale také postavení na trhu a aktivity. V praktické části je představen návrh BI řešení pro společnost vyplývající z identifikovaných problémů v teoretické části a jejích požadavků. Jsou zde uvedeny použité dimenze a ukazatelé, které jsou třeba k řešení. Kapitola rovněž obsahuje dimenzionální modely společně s tabulkami vazeb mezi ukazateli a dimenzemi, ale obsahuje také výsledky v grafickém provedení. Přínosem této práce je možnost reálného nasazení navržených prototypů BI řešení, které pomůžou analytikům společnosti během strategických rozhodnutí a následně povedou ke zlepšení výsledků hospodaření společnosti. |

| Abstract: | The main goal of this work is to analyze information and market environment of state joint-stock railways company “Rossiysjie Zheleznye dorogi” (RZD) and to design BI solutions based on the strategic aims and problems of the company, which will be used by business analysts of the firm to help with better decision making. To fulfill the goal, I used public sources of information about the chosen company and Russian transport market. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the first part the reader can learn about the situation on the transport market of Russia, its characteristics and problems. Also, this part contains an analysis of the company RZD, specifically of its structure, market position and activities. The practical part presents designs of BI solutions for the company based on the identified problems from the theoretical part and requirements. There are mentioned the dimensions, indicators, dimensional models, tables of relationships between indicators and dimensions and examples of reports. The benefit of this work is the possibility of implementation of the proposed prototypes of BI solutions into the company’s systems. The applications can help firm’s analysts to better strategic decision making and subsequently to improve financial results. |
