Designing an SSBI solution to support the management of a small business

The goal of my bachelor's thesis is to design an appropriate SSBI solution for a small company (automobile repair shop) based on an interview with its managers, which should cover a specific information basis about the operations of the company and its important indicators. In the theoretical part of my thesis, I have tried to introduce the topic of "Business Intelligence" and "Self Service Business Intelligence" as well as the most important concepts, which are related to the topic at hand. Furthermore, this chapter contains a basic description of the company as well as the description of the industry/environment they are operating in. Lastly, the practical part of my thesis which concerns the actual design of the SSBI solution. From the conception, modelling, processing of data up until the creation of the dashboard in Power BI.

Cílem mé práce je návrh SSBI řešení pro malou společnost (autoservis), které pokrývalo potřeby této konkrétní společnosti a poskytne jim konkrétní informační bázi o chodu důležitých ukazatelích v jejich podnikání. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny základní termíny a vazby z oblasti "Business Intelligence" a "Self Service Business Intelligence" i jiné důležité pojmy, které s touto problematikou souvisí. Nachází se zde i základní popis zpracovávané společnosti a odvětví / prostředí, ve kterém podnikají. Praktická část práce se následně věnuje již samotnému vypracování SSBI řešení a to od koncepce řešení, vytváření modelu, zpracování dat, až po vytvoření samotného dashboardu v Power BI.
