| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice stárnutí populace ve vybraných státech Asie. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na zkoumání rostoucí střední délky života a na další vybrané demografické charakteristiky v souvislosti s dlouhověkostí. Zaměřuje se na porovnání ukazatelů stárnutí v jednotlivých oblastech, na analýzu dostupných dat o budoucím vývoji a na význam stárnutí. Hlavním cílem této práce je shrnout základní rysy a vývoj stárnutí ve vybraných asijských oblastech a podat ucelenější obraz o možnosti zlepšení zdraví starších lidí v průběhu jejich stárnutí. Cílovou skupinou této práce jsou starší populace Asie ve věku 65 let a více, a to se specifikací na dva státy, Japonsko a Vietnam. Tyto státy jsou rozmanité, mají odlišné kultury, různé klimatické podmínky a zeměpisné polohy. Jelikož jsou to dvě země, které mají různé charakteristiky a jiné tempo růstu, je velmi zajímavé porovnat jejich vývoj. Zvláštní pozornost bude také věnována vzdělání seniorů, jejich adaptaci a možnosti navštěvovat univerzitu třetího věku. Tato práce se zabývá i ukazatelem života ve zdraví. Mnoho lidí uvažuje o vztahu mezi zdravím a dlouhověkostí. Žijeme déle, protože máme lepší život i zdraví? Žijeme déle ve zdraví? Nebo jen přežíváme déle bez ohledu na náš zdravotní stav? Jinými slovy, můžeme žít ve zdraví, pokud dokážeme přežít do určitého vysokého věku? Část práce se soustředí na tyto a podobné otázky a na způsob života v Japonsku z perspektivy starších osob a jejich tajemství dlouhověkosti. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis focuses on the process of aging in selected Asian countries. Special emphasis is placed on the study of increasing life expectancy and other selected demographical characteristics in the context of longevity. It compares indicators of aging in different areas, based on available data and future developments, and on the importance of aging. The main goal of this work is to summarize the basic features and development of aging in selected Asian areas and to give a more comprehensive picture how to improve the health of older people during their aging. The target group of the thesis is comprised of older Asian population aged 65 and over, with emphasis on two countries, Japan and Vietnam. These states are diverse, with different cultures, different climatic conditions and geographical locations. As these are two countries with different characteristics and different growth rates, it is very interesting to compare their development. Special attention is paid to the education of seniors, their adaptation, and opportunities to attend University of the Third Age. This work also looks at the indicator of healthy life expectancy. Many people think about the relationship between health and longevity. Do we live longer because we have a better life and health? Do we live longer in health? Or do we just survive longer regardless of our health? In other words, can we live in good health if we reach a certain old age? Part of the work focuses on these and similar issues and on the way of life in Japan from the perspective of older people and their secrets of longevity. |
