| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda pandemie COVID-19 může vést k zvýšení inflace nebo naopak k deflaci a zda je možný přenos inflace z eurozóny do ČR. V teoretické části práce jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy inflace a deflace, různé druhy inflace, její příčiny a dopady a také jak se inflace měří atd. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zabývá vývojem inflace ve vybraných zemích: České republice, Spolkové republice Německo a Slovenské republice, a také popisu vládních ekonomických opatření, která měla za úkol zmírnit dopady krize. Vývoj inflace byl následně zkoumán na základě 4 významných složek spotřebních košů vybraných zemí. Provedená analýza ukázala, že celkový inflační vývoj vybraných zemí byl podobný, ale vývoj některých složek spotřebních košů se výrazně lišil. Na základě provedené analýzy lze na vývoj inflace nahlížet ze dvou hledisek: buď z hlediska ekonomického, tj. ekonomická propojenost zemí v EU, anebo z hlediska politicko-ekonomického, kde země implementovaly podobná opatření. V obou případech lze usoudit, že přenos inflace je možný. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to determine whether the COVID-19 pandemic can lead to an increase in inflation or to deflation and whether it is possible to transmit inflation from the euro area to the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the basic concepts of inflation and deflation, various types of inflation, its causes and effects, as well as how inflation is measured, etc. The practical part of the bachelor thesis deals with inflation in selected countries: the Czech Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Slovak Republic. as well as a description of the government's economic measures aimed at tackling the effects of the crisis. The development of inflation was subsequently examined based on 4 important components of consumer baskets in selected countries. The analysis showed that the overall inflation development of selected countries was similar, but the development of some components of consumer baskets differed significantly. Based on the analysis, the development of inflation can be viewed from two perspectives: either from an economic point of view i.e., from the economic integration of countries in the EU, or from a political-economic point of view, where countries have implemented similar measures. In both cases, it can be concluded that the transmission of inflation is possible. |
