| Abstract: | Práce konceptualizuje roli controllera v podniku, kdy prostřednictvím jedenácti rozhovorů s controllery napříč jednotlivými hospodářskými sektory definuje základní rozsah činností, kterým se controller musí v podniku věnovat a zároveň identifikuje jeho postavení v podnikové organizační struktuře. Práce obsahuje rozhovory nikoliv pouze s controllery aktuálně působícími v tuzemsku, ale je rozšířená také o poznatky zahraničních controllerů působících v Německu, Číně a Itálii. Práce jednoznačně identifikuje controllera jako osobu, která je kardinální součástí podnikové organizační struktury, přičemž zdůrazňuje jeho postavení zejména ve vztahu k podnikovému vedení jakožto jedné ze základních pozic, pomocí které podnikové vedení uskutečňuje svá rozhodnutí. Výsledky práce jsou dále podpořeny specifikováním základních kvalitativních charakteristik controllera, kterým respondenti přikládají největší význam v momentu jeho personálního výběru. |

| Abstract: | The master thesis conceptualizes the role of the controller in the company. There are interviews with eleven controllers across individual economic sectors who defines the basic range of activities that the controller must engage in the company and also identifies its position in the corporate organizational structure. The master thesis contains interviews not only with controllers currently operating in the Czech Republic but it is also extended to the knowledge of foreign controllers operating in Germany, China, and Italy. The master thesis identifies the controller as a person who is a cardinal part of the corporate organizational structure, emphasizing its position, especially in corporate governance as one of the basic positions thanks to which corporate management realize its decisions. The results of the master thesis are further supported by specifying the basic qualitative characteristics of the controller, to which the respondents ascribe the utmost importance at the moment of its personnel choice. |
