Abstract:
Telecommunications nowadays play a vital role in the daily life of every person. It became quite a profitable business and the number of clients is increasing daily. There are different types of clients with whom telecommunication companies sign contracts. There are 2 main types of clients: B2C and B2B. For each type telco has certain processes for delivering high quality services. In this research we will focus mostly on B2B segment because B2C processes are more standardized while processes for B2B clients are more specific. To deliver services to B2B clients telecommunication companies create projects and assign project managers and service managers to fully satisfy needs of each customer. Projects are not standardized and require from project managers flexibility, expertise and supervision. Due to the fact that sometimes project managers are assigned to many projects at the same time they need highly efficient tools. Without effective tools project managers may miss important information or forget about some notes. All these lead to regression in quality delivery and stretch deadlines. It is important to take into account that telco projects include a lot of confidential information and place special requirements on each tool which is implemented and in use meaning the necessity of choosing the right tool before the implementation begins in earnest.
