| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem práce je konstrukce HDI pro kraje České republiky a jejich srovnání. Výběrový soubor se skládá ze 14 krajů České republiky. Pro porovnání byla použita data z Českého statistického úřadu z roku 2019. Práce obsahuje celkový přehled o indexu HDI, shrnutí různých pohledů na jeho konstrukci, zhodnocení kvality dostupných datových zdrojů, výběr vhodných ukazatelů a konstrukci indexu pomocí čtyř metod normalizace. Hl. m. Praha významně převyšuje všechny srovnávané kraje ve všech srovnávaných ukazatelích. Na opačném konci spektra se nacházejí průmyslové a těžební oblasti – Karlovarský, Ústecký a Moravskoslezský kraj. U těchto tří krajů a HL. m. Prahy nezáleží na zvolené normalizační metodě. Volba normalizační metody neovlivní jejich pořadí. Některé ukazatele používané pro konstrukci HDI pro porovnání jednotlivých států se ukázaly nepříliš vhodné v případě konstrukce pro jednotlivé kraje. Pro některé ukazatele nejsou dostupná aktuální data, respektive data pro sledované období nebo se nesledují v rozlišení na jednotlivé kraje. U některých ukazatelů nejsou data úplná. |

| Abstract: | The main aim of bachelor thesis is the construction of HDI for the regions of the Czech Republic and their comparison. The sample consists of 14 regions of the Czech Republic. Data from the Czech Statistical Office from 2019 were used for comparison. The thesis contains a general overview of the HDI index, a summary of various views on its construction, evaluation of the quality of available data sources, selection of suitable indicators and construction of the index using four methods of normalization. The capital city Prague significantly exceeds all compared regions in all compared indicators. At the opposite end of the spectrum are industrial and mining areas –Karlovarský, Ústecký a Moravskoslezský region. These three regions and capital city Prague does not depend on the chosen standardization method. The choice of normalization method does not affect their order. Some indicators used for the construction of HDI for comparison of individual states proved not very suitable in the case of construction for individual regions. For some indicators are not available current data, or data for the period are not monitored or split by region. For some indicators, the data are not complete. |
