| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem Evropských strukturálních a investičních fondů (ESI) na hospodářském růstu. V první kapitole práce seznamuje se základní teorií hospodářského růstu a identifikuje jeho hlavní determinanty. Druhá kapitola charakterizuje ESI fondy a začleňuje je do kontextu vývoje kohezní politiky. Následně na základě rešerše literatury identifikuje hlavní závěry dopadů ESI fondů na hospodářský růst a hodnotí čerpání a vývoj hospodářského růstu na zkoumaném vzorku 14 zemí EU. Závěrečná kapitola vysvětluje na modelu vícenásobné regrese závislost vlivu ESI fondů na hospodářském růstu a rovněž zahrnuje index korupce jako možný determinant efektivnosti ESI fondů. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the impact of European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) on economic growth. The first chapter introduces the basic theory of economic growth and identifies its main determinants. The second chapter characterizes the ESIF and explains its role in the context of the development of cohesion policy. Subsequently, based on literature review, it identifies the main findings of the impact of ESIF on economic growth and evaluates the absorption of ESIF in a sample of fourteen EU countries. The final chapter explains the relation of ESIF and economic growth using multiple linear regression and includes a corruption index as a possible determinant of the effectiveness of ESIF. |
