Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with the concept of a throw-away society, which is manifested by frequent product changes, waste, and excessive waste production. The aim of this thesis is to identify specific groups within the population of the Czech Republic and to look for differences in their purchase and consumption of clothing compared to other groups. The monitored variables were age, residency size, education level, and gender. The evaluation was carried out based on a questionnaire survey, which was completed by 281 respondents. As the questionnaire was preceded by exploratory research in the form of interviews, the questions were better able to be targeted. The results show significant differences, especially when comparing gender and age group responses; on the contrary, the variable of education level does not play a significant role in shopping and consumer behaviour related to clothing. |
