The effect of reimbursement on the manufacturer's price for selected medicinal products partially reimbursed from public health insurance in the Czech Republic in 2012-2020

| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou úhrad vybraných léčivých přípravků v České republice v letech 2012 až 2020. V souvislosti se změnami úhrad léčivých přípravků porovnává reakce výrobců a uvádí vliv změn úhrady léčivého přípravku na jeho cenu. Popsány jsou základní principy a mechanismy stanovení cenové i úhradové regulace. Výše úhrad se ve všech skupinách vybraných léčivých přípravků změnila za roky 2012 až 2020 dvakrát až šestkrát. Průměrně klesly úhrady vybraných léčivých přípravků o 61,45 % za sledované období. Při analýze ceny léčivých přípravků dospívám k závěru, že v období poklesu úhrady léčivého přípravku dochází k poklesu jeho ceny. Důvodem pro pokles ceny je obchodní strategie výrobců v oblasti konkurence. Byla nalezena velmi silná pozitivní korelace mezi úhradou a cenou léčivého přípravku. Průměr korelačních koeficientů pro všech 24 zkoumaných léčivých přípravků je 0,792. 18 z 24 léčivých přípravků má hodnotu korelačního koeficientu větší než 0,75. Pokles úhrad a v důsledku i cen s sebou nese některé výhody i nevýhody. Mezi výhody patří šetření zdrojů zdravotních pojišťoven a levnější léčivé přípravky pro pacienty. Nevýhodami může být kvůli velmi nízkým cenám v ČR reexport léčiv do zahraničí, výpadky dodávek léků nebo snížení příjmů lékáren, čímž je dostupnost léčivých přípravků omezena. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of reimbursements of selected medicinal products in the Czech Republic in the years 2012 to 2020. In connection with changes in reimbursements of medicinal products, it compares the reactions of manufacturers and states the effect of changes in reimbursement of medicinal products. The basic principles and mechanisms of determining price and reimbursement payment regulation are described. The reimbursements in all groups of selected medicinal products changed two to six times between 2012 and 2020. On average, reimbursements for selected medicinal products decreased by 61.45 % over the last 8 years. In the analysis of the price of medicinal products, I come to the conclusion that in the period of decline in reimbursement of a medicinal product, its price decreases. The reason for the fall in price is the business strategy of manufacturers and price competition. A very strong positive correlation was found between reimbursement and the price of the medicinal product. The average of the correlation coefficients for all 24 investigational medicinal products is 0.792. 18 of the 24 medicinal products have a correlation coefficient greater than 0.75. The decline in payments and, as a result, prices, has some advantages and disadvantages. The benefits include saving health insurance resources and cheaper medicines for patients. The disadvantages may be, due to very low prices in the Czech Republic, the re-export of medicines abroad, outages in the supply of medicines or a reduction in the income of pharmacies, which limits the availability of medicinal products. |
