Comparison of the use of the Smart Cities concept in the capital city Prague and in selected european capitals

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou konceptu inteligentních měst. Cílem práce je komparace využití konceptu Smart City v Praze a dalších evropských hlavních městech, která umožní identifikovat možnosti zlepšení ve využití přístupu Smart City v hlavním městě České republiky. Ke komparaci byly zvoleny města Amsterdam, Helsinki, Kodaň, Oslo a Stockholm, a to na základě získání předních příček mezi evropskými hlavními městy v mezinárodním průzkumu Smart City Index 2020. Jeho výsledky jsou rovněž využity pro potřeby praktické části této práce, neboť umožňují srovnání fungování vybraných inteligentních míst v různých oblastech působení. Na základě komparace míst jsou v závěru práce identifikovány nedostatky města Praha a navrženy možná řešení na zlepšení využití konceptu Smart City v hlavním městě České republiky.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the concept of smart cities. The aim of the work is to compare the use of the Smart City concept in Prague and in other european capitals, which will identify opportunities for improvement in the use of the Smart City approach in the capital of the Czech Republic. The cities of Amsterdam, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm were selected for comparison, based on the acquisition of the leading positions among the European capitals in the international survey Smart City Index 2020. Its results are also used for the needs of the practical part of this work, as they allow comparison of the functioning of selected smart cities in different areas of impact. Based on the comparison of cities, the shortcomings of the city Prague are identified at the end of the work and possible solutions to improve the use of the Smart City concept in the capital of the Czech Republic are proposed.
