| Abstract: | Nerostné suroviny jsou považovány za zdroj bohatství, přesto mohou přispívat k zpomalení ekonomického růstu a destabilizaci ekonomiky. Tento jev se nazývá prokletí přírodních zdrojů a je hrozbou pro většinu nerostně bohatých zemí. Jedním způsobem, jak se vyhnout prokletí přírodních zdrojů, je včasná diverzifikace ekonomiky. Cílem této práce je, na příkladu Ruské federace, prozkoumat vliv nerostných suroviny na ekonomiku a navrhnout vhodnou diverzifikační strategii. Za nejvhodnější strategii pro diverzifikaci ruské ekonomiky byl zvolen rozvoj cestovního ruchu. Tato strategie byla zvolena na základě srovnání Ruské federace se Saudskou Arábií a Kanadou. |

| Abstract: | Natural resources are generally considered a source of wealth, yet they may slow economic growth and destabilize the economy. This process is called the resource curse and is a threat to most resource-rich countries. One way to avoid the resource curse is economic diversification. The aim of this work is, on the example of the Russian Federation, examine the impact of natural resources on the economy and to propose a suitable diversification strategy. The development of tourism was chosen as the most suitable strategy for the diversification of the Russian economy. This strategy was chosen on the basis of a comparison of the Russian Federation with Saudi Arabia and Canada. |
