| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem španělské zahraniční politiky na formování zahraniční politiky EU vůči Latinské Americe. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, zda Španělsko jako samostatný aktér dokáže ovlivnit zahraniční politiku Evropské unie vůči Latinské Americe během čtyř dosavadních předsednictví Španělska v EU. Práce zkoumá, zda na základě dvou definovaných modelů zahraniční politiky dochází k prohloubení vztahů mezi EU a regionem, se kterým má Španělsko historickou provázanost. Pozornost je soustředěna především na analýzu období čtyř španělských předsednictví v EU, a to v letech 1989, 1995, 2002 a 2010. Výzkum je prováděn pomocí kvalitativní metody nastolování agendy, tzv. agenda setting. Práce dochází k závěru, že Španělsko bylo během zkoumaných předsednictví schopno prosadit své národní zájmy a ovlivnit formování zahraniční politiky v oblastech jeho prioritních zájmů. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis examines the influence of Spanish foreign policy on the shaping of EU foreign policy towards Latin America. The main objective of the thesis is to determine if Spain, as an independent actor, has been able to influence the EU's foreign policy towards Latin America during Spain's four EU presidencies to date. The thesis examines whether, on the basis of two defined foreign policy models, there is a deepening of relations between the EU and a region with which Spain has historical interdependence. The focus is mainly on the analysis of the period of Spain's four EU presidencies, namely 1989, 1995, 2002 and 2010. The research is conducted using a qualitative method of agenda setting. The thesis concludes that Spain has been able to promote its national interests and influence the shaping of foreign policy in its priority areas of interest during the studied presidencies. |
