Analysis of the attitudes of the population of the Czech Republic to the introduction of autonomous vehicles

| Abstract: | Autonomní vozy, také známé jako samořídící, či vozy bez řidiče jsou technologií, která cílí na převzetí řídících úloh od tradičního řidiče. Provedené výzkumy ukazují, že postoj uživatelů k autonomním vozům by mohl být hlavní překážkou k zavádění autonomních vozů do provozu. Bakalářská práce má za cíl analyzovat postoj obyvatele české republiky k zavádění autonomních vozů a dále zjistit, jaké faktory tento postoj pozitivně ovlivňují. Teoretická část obsahuje literární rešerši již provedených výzkumů na téma akceptace autonomních vozů. Tyto rešerše slouží k identifikaci faktorů, které by mohly ovlivnit postoj respondentů. Ve výzkumné části je sestaveno, distribuováno a analyzováno dotazníkové šetření, které vychází z identifikovaných faktorů. Mezi vybrané faktory patří vnímaná užitečnost, vnímaná lehkost využití, povědomí o technologii a zkušenost s pokročilými bezpečnostními asistenčními systémy, věk a pohlaví respondenta. Elektronické dotazníkové šetření na vzorku 153 obyvatel ukázalo, že respondenti mají spíše negativní postoj k zavádění autonomních vozů, jelikož hodnota mediánu behaviorálního záměru vyšla -0,5 na pětibodové škále od -2 až 2. Z výsledků analýzy vyšlo, že mezi faktory, které mají pozitivní vliv na postoj obyvatel patří vnímaná užitečnost, vnímaná snadnost využití technologie a předchozí zkušenost s pokročilými bezpečnostními asistenčními systémy. U faktorů úroveň povědomí o technologii, věk a pohlaví respondentů se vlil neprokázal. |

| Abstract: | Autonomous cars, also known as self-driving or unmanned cars, are technologies that aim to take over driving tasks from the traditional driver. Research shows that users' attitudes towards autonomous cars could be a major obstacle to bringing autonomous cars on roads. The bachelor's thesis aims to analyse the attitude of the population of the Czech Republic to the introduction of autonomous cars and to find out what factors positively influence this attitude. The theoretical part contains a literature review of already conducted research on the topic of acceptance of autonomous cars. These searches are used to identify factors that may affect respondents' attitudes. In the research part, a questionnaire survey is compiled, distributed and analyzed, which is based on the identified factors. Selected factors include perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, technology awareness, and experience with safety assistance systems, age and gender of the respondent. An electronic questionnaire with a sample of 153 inhabitants showed that the respondents were rather negative about the introduction of autonomous cars, because the value of the median of behavioral intention was -0,5 for a five-point scale that ranged from -2 to 2. The results of the analysis showed that the factors that have a positive effect on behavioral intension of the population include perceived usefulness, perceived use of technology and previous experience with easy safety assistance systems. The factors of the level of awareness of the technology, age and gender of the respondents did not prove. |
