| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá ekonomickou krizí roku 2008. Nejprve popisuje, co je krize obecně, co ji způsobuje a jak se může krize projevovat v ekonomice. Druhá část práce uvádí hlavní příčiny jejího vypuknutí. Třetí část na příkladech vývoje akciových indexů a cen akcií vybraných společností analyzuje situaci, která se odrazila na amerických akciových trzích. Zaměříme se také na bankovní oblast a určíme, jak krize zasáhla tehdejší nejvýznamnější banky, zejména Lehman Brothers, a k jakým problémům vedla. |

| Abstract: | The thesis examines the economic crisis of 2008. First, it describes what a crisis is in general, what causes it, and how it can manifest itself in the economy. The second part of the work lists the main causes of its outbreak. The third part analyzes the situation, which was reflected in the US stock markets, using examples of the development of stock indices and stock prices of selected companies. We will also focus on the banking area and determine how the crisis affected the most important banks at the time and what problems it led to, especially Lehman Brothers. |
