| Abstract: | Vysokorychlostní železnice jsou moderním dopravním řešením v mnoha rozvinutých zemích a v dopravním světě jsou symbolem technologického pokroku. Cílem diplomové práce je analýza vývoje financování vysokorychlostních železnic v Japonsku, Francii, Španělsku a Číně v letech 2000-2019. Teoretická část uvádí čtenáře do problematiky ekonomických teorií a pojmů, které s tématem souvisí, teorií financování dopravní infrastruktury a současný stav akademického poznání tématu. Náplní praktické části je analýza charakteristiky a vývoje VRT v jednotlivých zemích, přičemž je zkoumána koncepce VRT a institucionální prostředí v dané zemi. V další části je analyzován vývoj financování VRT, především způsob a zdroje financování jednotlivých projektů a je posouzena role a vliv veřejného sektoru a soukromého financování pomocí P3. Závěrečnou kapitolou je pak srovnání jednotlivých výstupů analýz a jsou diskutovány podobnosti či rozdíly mezi charakteristikou a financováním VRT v jednotlivých zemích. |

| Abstract: | High-speed railways are a modern transport solution in many developed countries and it is a also symbol of technological progress in the transport world. The aim of the master thesis is to analyze the development of funding of high-speed railways in Japan, France, Spain, and China during a period between 2000-2019. The theoretical part introduces the audience to the issues of economic theories and concepts related to the topic, the theory of funding of transport infrastructure, and the current state of academic research within the topic. The practical part analyses the characteristics and development of HSR in each country while examining the concept of HSR and the institutional environment in the country. The next part analyzes the development of HSR funding, especially the method and sources of funding of individual projects, and assesses the role and impact of the public sector and private funding through P3. In the final chapter, the author compares the individual outputs of each analysis and discusses similarities and differences between the HSR funding in individual countries. |
